Daniel Bryan’s contract with WWE recently expired and he’s currently a free agent.

A WWE source told Wrestlingnewsco that Vince McMahon believes Daniel Bryan will be back in time for SummerSlam 2021 after signing a new contract with the company.

“There is no bad blood, no grudge from either side and Vince thinks he will be back but he just needs time to recharge his batteries.

We are ready to have him back in a big match at SummerSlam. Vince loves the guy and he has a full-time job behind-the-scenes ready for him when the time comes for him to retire.”

Bryan lost to Roman Reigns in a Universal Title match on SmackDown two weeks ago. Due to the stipulation of the match, Bryan will never be allowed to appear on SmackDown ever again.
