On this day in 2001, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Sunday Night HEAT’.

It was broadcasted from the MCI Center in Washington, District Of Columbia and featured pre-taped matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF WrestleMania X-Seven’ PPV.

• Vince McMahon Orders To End RAW Storyline Abruptly

As seen on last week’s RAW, Erick Rowan revealed that his pet in the cage was a Spider.

This was a very underwhelming reveal for something that WWE was building up for so long.

Then on this week’s RAW, this storyline was put to rest when Drew McIntyre destroyed the cage by smashing Steel Steps on it during his match with Rowan.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Vince McMahon ordered WWE writers to end this storyline last week, that’s why a sudden reveal of Rowan’s pet was done and the storyline was finished this week.
