Below are the complete results from tonight’s SmackDown, featuring WWE editing out Vince McMahon.
– SmackDown kicked off with LA Knight saying that Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed cost him his chance to win King of the Ring last week, so he returned the favor this past Monday on RAW by screwing Reed. Paul Heyman came out and said that LA must leave Grand Rapids or else something really bad will happen to him by the end of the night. Breakker and Reed came out and attacked Knight. LA grabbed a steel chair and fended them off. LA will take on Reed later tonight.
– Asuka def. Alexa Bliss to advance to the Final of the Queen of the Ring Tournament
– Jade Cargill said that the Queen of the Ring tournament is hers to win and reign.
– Aleister Black came out to face Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly, but R-Truth attacked Wilson and then called out John Cena. WWE officials came out. Jamie Noble helped calm Ron Killings down and took him to the back.
Black confronted Truth backstage. Truth said it wasn’t personal. Damian Priest intervened and told Truth to take out all his aggression on Cena during their match.

– Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso met in the ring. Jey says only one of them can win next week in the King of the Ring Semi-Final and vowed that it will be him. Sami Zayn came out and said it’s time for him to finish his story of becoming a World Champion. Randy Orton came out and said Sami will be World Champion one day, but it won’t be at SummerSlam 2025.
– Randy Orton def. Sami Zayn to advance to the Final of the King of the Ring tournament
– Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Nia Jax in a Last Woman Standing match for the WWE Women’s Championship is set for next week. The two got into a brawl. Naomi came out and attempted to cash-in her Women’s Money In The Bank Contract, but Nia stopped her once again. Tiffany dropkicked Naomi and Naomi fell on top of Nia.
– WWE aired a video package for John Cena vs. CM Punk. During this video, footage of Punk’s pipebomb was shown. However, Vince McMahon’s name was edited out when footage of the following line aired:
“There’s one thing that you’re better at than I am, and that’s kissing Vince McMahon’s a$$.”
In the edited footage, Punk just said “…and that’s kissing a$$.” You can watch it below:

– Charlotte Flair def. Chelsea Green
Piper Niven and Alba Fyre attacked Charlotte after the match, which led to Alexa Bliss making the save. Charlotte ignored Alexa’s handshake offer.
– Solo Sikoa and United States Champion Jacob Fatu met in the ring. Solo said he’s the only one that believed in Jacob. Solo said Jacob is the only one he had and he loves him. Fatu said he feels Solo used him to gain power and be The Tribal Chief. Fatu questioned if Sikoa thought he’d help him become a champion. Fatu said he feels the problem here is the US Title. Jacob laid down the title and challenged Solo to fight him for the title. Solo tried to hit Jacob with the Samoan Spike, but Jacob stopped him and laid him out. JC Mateo tried to attack Jacob, but Jacob laid him out too. However, Solo and JC quickly ganged up on Jacob, which led to Jimmy Uso coming out to help Jacob. Solo and JC overwhelmed Jimmy. Jacob saved Jimmy and took out Solo & Mateo.
– LA Knight def. “Big” Bronson Reed via DQ after Bron Breakker speared Knight
Knight attacked Breakker before the match. After the match, Breakker delivered another spear and Reed hit Knight with three Tsunamis.
– R-Truth def. Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena via DQ in a non-title match
Cena hit Truth with the title to cause the disqualification. CM Punk came out for a fight. Cena had the upper hand first, but Punk fought back. Punk was looking to hit Cena with the title, but Cena hit Punk with a low blow and then hit him in the head with the title. Cena brought a table into the ring. Cena hit Punk with the title again and put him through the table with an Attitude Adjustment.
Cena then grabbed a mic and cut his own version of the pipebomb. Cena said Punk is the best bullsh*tter in the world. Cena called Stu to shoot this and said he’s breaking the 4th wall. Cena said the truth is – he’s jealous of Punk because Punk has conned the fans into believing that he’s the best. Cena said Punk changes his values as much as he changes his T-Shirts.
John broke the 4th wall again and said “Hi” to Claudio Castagnoli, Nic Nemeth and Matt Cardona. Cena said Punk is Mr.TKO because they cut his balls off. Cena said Punk’s tweets are strong, but his actions are weak. Fans began chanting for Cena.
Cena told Punk to bring his A game at Night of Champions.
