• WCW Legend Says CM Punk Doesn’t Have Enough Star Power To Elevate Younger AEW Wrestlers

WCW Legend Eric Bischoff was recently interviewed on an episode of the ‘Keepin It 100’ podcast, where he talked about AEW Superstar CM Punk and said that Punk does not have enough star power to put younger talents over and thereby evolve them to the next level and make them bigger stars in the process.

Here’s what Easy E had to say:

“There is this feeling where Punk is so over, let us use him to elevate the younger wrestlers. Well, he is no longer even able to elevate it anymore. He is unable to elevate other talents if he himself is not the star that one thinks he is.”

CM Punk wrestled on the WWE main roster from 2006 until 2014, but has never managed to become the #1 draw (face of the company) there, not even when they ended up giving him a lengthy run with the WWE Championship.

He then returned to professional wrestling earlier this year by joining Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling.

Punk is currently feuding with MJF.
