• “We got another 30 years out of him now” – WWE Officials After Hearing The Undertaker’s Hall Of Fame Speech
The Undertaker had his last match in the main event of WrestleMania 36 – Night 1.
He officially retired with his Final Farewell at Survivor Series 2020 and was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame by Vince McMahon in 2022.
After that, WWE started doing the 1 deadMAN Show with The Undertaker, where The Phenom talks with the fans in an intimate setting. All of his shows are sold out and they usually take place before a premium live event.
The Deadman’s epic Hall of Fame speech is what led to WWE getting the idea of doing these talk shows with him, as his speech received praise from both wrestlers and fans.
Below is what Undertaker said during an interview with Ariel Helwani:
“I think what happened was I didn’t say much for 30 years outside of The Undertaker character. You only got what I was trying to sell on TV.
It kind of started when I started promoting The Last Ride and the A&E thing when I finally lifted the curtain and started talking about those things.
Then the Hall of Fame speech, I screwed up and let people know I can actually talk and the WWE was like, ‘Oh, we got another 30 years out of him now.’
That was the genesis of the whole thing, the Hall of Fame speech.”
