Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day, featuring Wheeler Yuta and Seth Rollins.

• During an interview on The Mark Hoke Show, AEW World Trios Champion Wheeler Yuta was asked why he turned his back on Bryan Danielson.

Here’s what Yuta said:

“Bryan’s done a lot for me in my life and my career, but so have Claudio (Castagnoli) and Jon (Moxley).

When you get in that ring, the decision becomes pretty clear. I had to either cut my losses and stay with two champions—guys who are still in the fight—or blindly stand by Bryan, who isn’t even wrestling right now.

There’s a lot of internal conflict. I respected Bryan so much, but I also have responsibilities. Sometimes you get drafted into a war, and whether you agree with it or not, you go to war.”

• WWE brought in multiple RAW stars for Friday’s SmackDown at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, including Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, and Seth Rollins.

Rollins appeared in a dark (untelevised) match after SmackDown, where he defeated Dominik Mysterio. This marked Rollins’ first match since Money In The Bank three months ago, where he faced then-World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre in a triple threat match.

This was the 13th time Rollins and Dirty Dom have faced each other in the ring. Their first encounter was a memorable one, as it marked Dominik’s in-ring debut at SummerSlam 2020.

Rollins’ next match will be against “Big” Bronson Reed at the Crown Jewel premium live event in Saudi Arabia on November 2nd.
