According to Fightful Select, many within the company believed Wheeler Yuta was going to have his head shaved as part of the Grand Slam storyline, and he was a “good sport” about it.

AEW Grand Slam Australia aired on TV last night and the event wasn’t sold out. According to Fightful Select, AEW moved several fans to better seats due to unsold sections, aiming to enhance the television presentation.

– AEW Continental Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita ended in a 20-minute time-limit draw
– Winner receives an AEW World Championship match at Revolution: AEW Trios Champion “Hangman” Adam Page def. Andrade El Idolo
– Hair vs. Hair Match (the person who gets pinned or submitted will get their head shaved): “Timeless” Toni Storm and Orange Cassidy def. Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta
Yuta got his head shaved.
– AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Babes of Wrath (TBS Champion Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) (c) def. Megabad (Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford) to retain the titles
After the match, Lena Kross made her AEW debut and joined forces with Megabad.
