• Why Charlotte Flair’s Recent Babyface Run Didn’t Last Long

Charlotte Flair is currently one of WWE’s top villains, but she hopes to be a fan-favorite again one day. After returning from a serious knee injury, Flair won the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble. However, WWE quickly turned her heel after fans didn’t connect with her as a ‘good guy’. During a recent interview with WrestleZone, Flair shared how much she enjoyed her time as a babyface before her injury. She said, “Before I got injured, I was really in a groove being a good guy. I really enjoyed it, I was really getting that ‘good guy reaction’ on live events. And it was like the first time in my career that I felt like comfortable as a good guy. I just went with it, I loved it and I was digging it.”

Charlotte also explained that the way she returned made it difficult for fans to get behind her. “Then I got hurt and when I came back, and how I came back, obviously winning the Rumble twice isn’t like, and I don’t mean this in a bad way, but you don’t want the Yankees to always win, you know what I mean? So that is harder to gain that sympathy, that good guy feel,” she added.

Despite this, Charlotte Flair hopes to transition back to being a babyface eventually. She enjoys interacting with younger fans and looks forward to being a hero again in WWE.

• Darby Allin Almost Got Hurt In A New Car Stunt After Conquering Mount Everest (Video)

Darby Allin isn’t slowing down after reaching the summit of Mount Everest. Instead of easing back into things, the AEW star launched himself into another dangerous moment, this time behind the wheel of a car. In a newly released video, Allin is seen attempting a car jump on a dirt road. The stunt ended with the vehicle’s airbag deploying, a seatbelt snapping, and Allin bleeding from what looked like a rough landing. Despite the chaos, he walked away with only a bruise to the chest.

Allin has been away from AEW throughout 2025, but his return appears close. According to Fightful Select, he’s been medically cleared and is expected to be back in the ring “imminently.”

His Mount Everest climb had been delayed by a year due to injury, but the report noted he came out of the expedition “relatively unscathed.” That hasn’t stopped him from taking on more risk, even before officially returning to AEW TV.

• Undertaker’s Daughter Performs Impressive High-Flying Move In A WWE Ring (Video)

Kaia Faith Calaway, daughter of WWE legends The Undertaker and Michelle McCool, is already turning heads with her athletic potential. Michelle recently posted a video on Instagram showing their 12-year-old daughter in action at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. In the clip, Kaia launches off the top rope with impressive control and confidence. “REAL TALK -> legit look away for 5 minutes & turn around to find my child flying through the air!!!!” McCool wrote.

This isn’t a sudden interest. On a recent episode of Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway, The Undertaker shared that Kaia has been obsessed with wrestling since she was 4. McCool confirmed her daughter’s passion, adding that it’s been consistent over the years.

Despite her excitement, her parents are realistic. The Undertaker admitted he has concerns about the demands of the wrestling world. Still, with two Hall of Famers as mentors, and access to WWE’s top-level facilities, Kaia’s dream already has a strong foundation.

• Mercedes Mone Threatens To Call The Cops On Top AEW Star

Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) recently shared her views on WWE’s upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event. Speaking during a subscriber-only Instagram chat, Moné expressed her excitement but also criticized WWE’s timing.

“They waited way too long to have an all-women’s pay-per-view,” she said. Despite the delay, Moné made it clear she supports women’s wrestling and is glad to see an event dedicated to it return. “I love and will always support and be a huge advocate for women’s wrestling. So, I’m excited for that, for the women that get to perform on that.”

Mercedes also addressed questions about her brief rivalry with former AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. She sent a message to Baker, saying, “Well, if the D.M.D. wants a back adjustment, she knows where to find me. In my locker room. But make sure you knock on the door first before entering or I’m gonna call security and then the cops.”

• “CM Punk f**ked me over in my real life” – Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy opened up about a frustrating experience during his time with AEW involving a canceled TV appearance. He shared the story on his podcast, saying the situation was unprofessional and really bothered him. The issue happened during consecutive AEW tapings in Canada, Dynamite on Wednesday and Collision on Thursday. Tony Khan had asked Hardy to stay for Collision to support Ethan Page in his match against MJF. Matt said, “I talk with Tony, and Tony’s like, ‘Yes, I want you tomorrow, be out in the corner with Ethan. I definitely want you there.’” After changing his flight and making plans to stay, Hardy was later told by the travel department that he wasn’t needed after all. “They say, ‘Just heard that you’re not needed for tomorrow’s event,’” Matt recalled. “I was like, ‘What do you mean I’m not needed? I just talked to Tony three hours ago, and he said I’m in and he was excited.’”

Hardy suspects CM Punk was behind the last-minute cancellation. Since Collision was known as Punk’s show and he had creative control, Matt said, “I don’t have the full authority to say, but someone stopped that from happening. I couldn’t imagine it was anyone besides Punk, because that was his show, right? It was a very unprofessional situation that f**ked me over in my real life, in my actual time. It really pi$$ed me off.”

The change caused Hardy significant travel problems, forcing him to get home at 3 AM the next day. He expressed frustration over the situation, saying, “That f***ing bothered me.” Matt also commented on Punk’s influence over Tony Khan, noting it sometimes led to issues. Still, he acknowledged the ultimate responsibility lies with Khan as the boss.

• WWE Has Bigger Plans For SummerSlam Celebrity

Jelly Roll is stepping into the WWE spotlight once again, and this time, it might be more than just a cameo. The chart-topping artist is confirmed for the July 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Tampa, Florida. But according to WrestleVotes, this appearance might be part of something larger. The outlet reports that WWE insiders expect it “to be the start of something more.” There’s also “anticipation the music superstar will make additional appearances in the near future.”

One clue fueling the speculation? His tour schedule. While Jelly Roll is currently on the road, the report pointed out that he has the first weekend of August off, the same weekend WWE’s SummerSlam is set to take place. That coincidence has fans wondering if the singer could be part of a big moment at WWE’s biggest event of the summer.

This wouldn’t be uncharted territory for him. At SummerSlam 2024, Jelly Roll got physical in the ring, delivering a chokeslam to Austin Theory. A longtime wrestling fan, he’s talked openly in interviews about wanting to do more inside the ring, especially after focusing on weight loss to make that dream a reality.
