Below are some top WWE & AEW news stories of the day:
– RAW’s Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley won’t be having a title defense at the Money In The Bank 2023 premium live event on July 1st in London, England.
According to Xero News, Ripley’s knee issues played a part in this.
Ripley has noted in recent interviews that her knee keeps popping during matches, and the same happened during her Women’s Royal Rumble match victory earlier this year.
It looks like WWE wants Ripley to take things easy for a while. She still appears on TV alongside Dominik Mysterio.
Dominik will face Cody Rhodes at Money In The Bank, so Ripley will most likely accompany him at this premium live event.
Ripley’s last televised match was at Night Of Champions 2023 in Saudi Arabia, where she defeated Natalya in just 70 seconds.
– NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton is dating WWE RAW star Ludwig Kaiser (of Gunther’s Imperium stable). Below is a photo of them together:
– AEW wrestler Hook (age 24) is the son of ECW Legend Taz and he is the current FTW Champion in All Elite Wrestling.
According to insider source BWE, WWE Officials are interested in signing Hook and Taz also wants his son to leave AEW for WWE for a better future:
“Hook is the easiest catch for WWE at the moment. Taz wants him to go. Shawn Michaels and Triple H want him. I don’t know about his contract, but I believe he could be the first of many.”
After making his in-ring debut in December 2021, Hook has been undefeated in singles competition.
