• Why Talks Between AEW & CM Punk Fell Apart

Former WWE Champion CM Punk was in talks with AEW for a possible debut last year. However, the two sides could not reach a deal.

While speaking on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, former WCW wrestler Konnan said that AEW didn’t sign Punk because he was asking for a large amount of money.

“I do remember when you know, I was negotiating with AEW — they were telling me about him. They were telling me that he was asking for like an astronomical amount of money. That they really wanted to work with him.”

Punk has not only demanded this from AEW, but he also stated in the past that he would also be open to a WWE return if he’s offered a large amount of money.
