• Why WWE Changed CM Punk’s Schedule After WrestleMania 42

WWE’s decision to shake up its roster has directly impacted CM Punk’s television schedule. According to False Finish, Punk is currently healthy and simply waiting for the writers to come up with his next storyline before he can return to WWE television.

His recent absence, which Fightful Select described as a schedule change, happened because the company shifted its major creative plans. Specifically, WWE decided to move Gunther over to SmackDown, while also bringing Jacob Fatu to RAW to start a major feud with Roman Reigns over the World Heavyweight Championship.

These big roster shifts forced the creative team to rewrite their upcoming stories, leaving Punk on the sidelines until they map out his new direction.

Punk is currently scheduled to make his return to TV on July 6, when RAW heads to his hometown of Chicago.
