On the April 26th episode of AEW Dynamite, former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts World Champion Taya Valkyrie (real-life wife of former WWE Superstar John Morrison) challenged Jade Cargill for the TBS Women’s Championship and lost.

During this match, Taya was banned from using her finishing move ‘Road to Valhalla’, because it’s the same as Jade’s finishing move ‘Jaded’.

Taya tried to actually hit it during the match, but suddenly remembered that she can’t. Jade took advantage of it and pinned Taya to pick up the win.

After the match, a frustrated Taya tried to hit AEW Referee Aubrey Edwards with the Road To Valhalla, but other officials stopped her from doing that.

On the May 5th episode of AEW Rampage, the commentators noted that Taya has been suspended from All Elite Wrestling for putting her hands on a referee.

On this same episode of Rampage, Cargill went on to defeat Gia Scott to take her undefeated record to 57-0.

It’s possible that Tony Khan tries to book a rematch between Cargill and Valkyrie at the AEW Double Or Nothing 2023 pay-per-view on May 28th.
