• William Regal Was Unhappy In AEW (Reason)
At AEW Full Gear 2022, William Regal helped MJF defeat Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship.
On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF turned on Regal by punching him from behind with brass knuckles. Regal was then taken out on a stretcher.
Multiple sources have reported that Regal is done with All Elite Wrestling and will now return to WWE.
PWInsider has now confirmed that Regal is officially done with AEW and is finalizing his new deal with WWE.
He’s scheduled to return in WWE in January 2023 in a backstage role.
During an interview on SK Wrestling’s The Wrestling Outlaws podcast, former WWE wrestler EC3 revealed that Regal was unhappy in All Elite Wrestling:
“When he went over to AEW, the word was, he said, ‘I immediately regret this decision, there’s very much a maturity issue here within management.’”
