3. AJ Styles Being Drafted To Raw? Update on John Cena’s WrestleMania 33 Plans
– Early word regarding the 2017 WWE Draft (which is expected to take place in July) is that former WWE Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles is expected to be a top draft pick and is expected to get drafted to Raw.
– As we noted before, a mixed tag team match is expected to take place at WrestleMania 33 between the teams of John Cena & Nikki Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse.
During the Falls Count Anywhere match between Nikki Bella & Natalya on SmackDown Live, Natalya threw Nikki into Maryse. Then later in the match, Maryse came out with a lead pipe and attacked Nikki Bella (which resulted in Nikki losing to Natalya).
Then later on the show, John Cena eliminated The Miz from the #1 contenders Battle Royal and then The Miz came back in the ring after some time and threw Cena out of the ring to eliminate him and then ran into the crowd.
You can clearly see that the seeds for this WrestleMania 33 feud have been planted. It was then announced on Talking Smack that Cena will appear on Miz TV on next week’s episode of SmackDown Live to further their feud.
For those who don’t know or don’t remember, John Cena vs. The Miz for the WWE Championship main evented WrestleMania 27 in 2011.
