3. Who’s Currently Scheduled To Win The WrestleMania 33 Main Event?
Former WWE & WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg made his in-ring return after 12 years in spectacular fashion by defeating “The 1 in 23-1” Brock Lesnar in just 1 minute & 26 seconds.
The original plan was for Lesnar to defeat Goldberg and get revenge on his WrestleMania 20 loss. However, Goldberg signed a new deal with WWE prior to Survivor Series 2016 (which would result in Goldberg working till WrestleMania 33).
This led to WWE booking Goldberg to go over Lesnar in a spectacular fashion. Now both Goldberg and Lesnar are booked for the Royal Rumble 2017 match and this will lead to a final match between the two Super Heavyweights at WrestleMania 33.
Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg – WrestleMania 33
This is expected to be the final match of Goldberg’s career and current plans are for him and Lesnar to main event WrestleMania 33. This also comes from Lesnar’s WrestleMania 32 match, where Vince McMahon thought Lesnar got wasted in a match with Cruiserweight wrestler Dean Ambrose and that Lesnar should always be in the main event.
Current plan is for Lesnar to finally get his revenge and defeat Goldberg to end the show.
