WrestleMania 33: Highs, Lows & Shocks From The “Ultimate Thrill Ride” (Brock Lesnar Makes History, Top WWE Star Building A Different Type of WrestleMania Streak) – Part 2

SHOCK #1: Intercontinental Title Match On The Kickoff Show

The WrestleMania 33 Kickoff show ended up having three matches and the third one was the Intercontinental Championship match between “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose & “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin.

It was shocking to see this match being on the Kickoff show as Ambrose is a former WWE Champion and faced Brock Lesnar in one of the co-main events at last year’s WrestleMania.

HIGH #2: AJ Styles Picks Up His First Victory At A WrestleMania Event

Former WWE Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles made his WrestleMania debut last year where he lost to “Y2J” Chris Jericho.

At this year’s WrestleMania 33, Styles opened up the main show with a match with SmackDown Live commissioner Shane McMahon and they absolutely tore the house down!

Styles ended up defeating Shane O’Mac and picked up his first victory at a WrestleMania event. He’s now 1-1 at WrestleMania.
