3. Bad News On John Cena’s Historic Title Reign, Big Interpromotional Match Being Planned For WrestleMania 33?
As we all know, John Cena will defend his WWE Championship in an Elimination Chamber match in the first SmackDown exclusive PPV of 2017, Elimination Chamber 2017.

Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship – John Cena vs. AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt vs. The Miz vs. Baron Corbin
The original plan for this match was Cena to lose the Title to Bray Wyatt, which would then lead to a WWE Title match between Wyatt & Randy Orton at WrestleMania 33. Regarding plans for Cena, he was scheduled to face Samoa Joe at WrestleMania 33, but Joe is now a part of Raw.
There have been talks of Cena retaining the Title at Elimination Chamber and WWE officials somehow booking Wyatt in the WWE Title picture. This would result in a Triple Threat WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 33 between Cena, Wyatt & Orton.
However, it looks like WWE is going on with their original plan of Bray Wyatt capturing the WWE Title at Elimination Chamber 2017. This means Cena’s historic 16th World Title reign would only last two weeks.
According to Bet Wrestling, below are the favorites for some of the Elimination Chamber 2017 matches:
– Bray Wyatt (WWE Title Elimination Chamber match)
– Randy Orton
– Mickie James
– Nikki Bella
– Apollo Crews & Kalisto
This would likely mean that WWE might be planning on a big interpromotional match (Raw vs. SmackDown Live) between Cena & Samoa Joe.
