Up next is the WWE Championship match. The winner of the 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble match Shinsuke Nakamura makes his way out first.

WWE Champion AJ Styles is out next and WWE made a mistake in Styles’ name display on the screen as he was listed as the Universal Champion.

Nakamura locks in a Triangle Choke hold on Styles, but Styles deadlifts Nakamura and slams him down.

Styles connects with a Phenomenal Forearm and goes for the pin, but Nakamura kicks out. Styles hits the springboard 450, but lands on Nakamura’s knees! Nakamura goes for the pin, but Styles kicks out.

Nakamura & Styles exchange headbutts and forearms and Styles nails a Pele kick out of nowhere. Nakamura hits a knee to the back of Styles’ head. Nakamura nails an Exploder Suplex and is looking to hit the Kinshasa, but Styles counters and hits the Styles Clash & gets the pin!

WWE pulled a shocker with this one and word going on was that Styles was getting drafted to Raw after WrestleMania 34 and was going to drop the WWE Title to Nakamura.

But AJ Styles is still the man on SmackDown Live! Styles & Nakamura hug it out after the match and Nakamura hands the WWE Title to Styles and hits him with a low blow!!!

Nakamura has turned heel! Nakamura kicks Styles out of the ring. Nakamura continues to kick Styles outside the ring and then delivers a Kinshasa!
