WrestleMania 35 (Live Coverage & Results) – Part 8

This is part 8 of our WrestleMania 35 live coverage (part 7 is here).

Up next is the co-main event of the evening, it’s time for the WWE Championship match!

Kofi Kingston makes his way out first along with Big E & Xavier Woods. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan (accompanied by Erick Rowan) is out next.

It looks like a new WWE Championship belt is kept ringside for this match (in case Kofi wins).

Bryan has been the WWE Champion for 144 days now. The match begins and so do the “KofiMania” chants.

The SmackDown locker room is shown backstage supporting Kofi in this match. Bryan is giving Kofi a hard time with his technical wrestling skills.

Kofi sends Bryan outside the ring. Kofi springboards off the top rope, but misses Bryan and lands on the edge of the announce table!

Bryan goes for a corner dropkick, but Kofi hits the double stomp! However, Bryan countered Kofi’s move and locks in the Boston Crap! Kofi manages to get out of the move.

Kofi hits a Splash on Bryan’s back and goes for the cover, but Bryan kicks out.

Kofi goes for the Trouble In Paradise, but gets caught. Bryan goes for the Boston Crab, but Kofi counters for a cover, but Bryan kicks out.

Bryan tries to lock in the LeBell Lock, but can’t.

Bryan is now doing the YES! signal in the corner and goes the Running Knee, but Kofi counters.

Kofi hits the SOS, but Bryan counters and locks in the LeBell Lock! Kofi manages to touch the bottom rope with his shoe to break the hold.

Bryan is now hitting Kofi with the NO! Kicks. Kofi fires back with kicks of his own.

Rowan attacks Xavier & Big E on the outside, but Kofi hits a Trouble In Paradise on Rowan. Big E & Xavier then hit their double team move on Rowan.

Bryan hits the Running Knee on Kofi and goes for the cover, but Kofi kicks out! The crowd pops big time!

Bryan now kicks Kofi in the face repeatedly and locks in the LeBell Lock. Referee checks Kofi’s arm and Kofi holds it up!

Kofi gets out of the move and now he’s kicking Bryan in the face repeatedly.

Kofi hits the Trouble In Paradise and he pins Bryan!

Kofi Kingston def. Daniel Bryan (c) to win the WWE Championship

After the match, Big E & Xavier presented Kofi with the real WWE Championship belt.
