• Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been champion for 1,238 days now, which means he has surpassed Bruno Sammartino’s second World Title reign.

Sammartino’s second World Title reign lasted 1,237 days, from December 10, 1973 to April 30, 1977.

The Tribal Chief now has the 4th longest World Championship reign in WWWF / WWF/ WWE history.

Below are the only 3 World Title reigns that were longer than Roman’s ongoing title reign:

1. Bruno Sammartino – 2,803 days (May 17, 1963 – January 18, 1971)

2. Bob Backlund – 2,135 days (February 20, 1978 – December 26, 1983)

3. Hulk Hogan – 1,474 days (January 23, 1984 – February 5, 1988)

In order to surpass the Hulkster’s title reign record, The Head of the Table needs to remain champion until September 13, 2024.
