Mickie James has been out of action since she tore her ACL during summer last year. She revealed earlier this month that she was cleared to wrestle prior to the Coronavirus pandemic, but she decided to stay at home when the pandemic hit.
The former Women’s Champion said that WWE didn’t have any big plans for her, so staying at home was a sensible decision for her. This means that she can return whenever WWE has big plans for her.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley has faced almost all the wrestlers on the blue brand, and she needs to face a top star at SummerSlam. Mickie James is a part of SmackDown, so she could turn out to be a good opponent for Bayley.
WWE has had plans for a Bayley vs. Sasha Banks bout at SummerSlam, but they may delay it until fans return to events.
