• WWE Announces 2 Big Shows On The Same Date As AEW All In: Texas
AEW will have their biggest PPV of 2025, All In: Texas, on July 12th. WWE also booked a Saturday Night’s Main Event special on the same date. To avoid going head-to-head with WWE, AEW gave All In a special start time of 3 PM ET. However, WWE has announced that NXT The Great American Bash PLE will take place on the same date as well, and it will take place during the afternoon, thus going head-to-head with AEW All In.
WWE has been counter-programming AEW PPVs a lot as of late. The AEW Double Or Nothing PPV this past Sunday went head-to-head against the WWE NXT Battleground PLE.
During the post-Double Or Nothing media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about WWE’s counter-programming tactics, and here’s what Khan replied:
“It’s pretty consistent. I’d say it’s the most consistent event head-to-head scheduling I’ve seen since Jim Crockett Promotions… saw a lot of scheduling that went that way.
I can tell you this will go a lot differently than that did.”

Fightful Select reported that the July 12th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta will either feature an appearance from Goldberg or Goldberg competing in his retirement match.

• Expected Return Date For Bayley
WWE is reportedly planning a high-profile match between Becky Lynch and Bayley for the upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event on July 13, according to Fightful Select.
Discussions are underway to feature this bout as a marquee “Legend vs. Legend” attraction for the all-women’s show.
The feud began at WrestleMania 41, when Bayley was attacked backstage. Becky Lynch ended up returning and taking Bayley’s spot to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Lyra Valkyria.
After Becky & Lyra lost the titles and Becky turned heel on Lyra, Becky revealed that she was the one who attacked Bayley, and said she deserved to be on the WrestleMania card because she’s a bigger star than Bayley.
Fightful also noted that Bayley could return at Money In The Bank on June 7th to begin the buildup for her match against Becky, who will be facing Lyra for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at this PLE.
Becky said on this week’s RAW that if she can’t defeat Lyra at Money In The Bank, then she’ll never challenge her for the Women’s Intercontinental Title ever again.
