France to host first-ever WWE Premium Live Event ‘WWE Backlash France’ in May 2024

“WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings, today announced that WWE Backlash France will be the first-ever WWE Premium Live Event to be held in France, emanating from the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Decines on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Additionally, SmackDown will emanate from the LDLC Arena on Friday, May 3, 2024, marking the first time SmackDown will broadcast from France.

Backlash 2023, held earlier this year at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico, became WWE’s highest-grossing and most-viewed Backlash in company history.”

Triple H tweeted the following about it:

“Another historic first for WWE in 2024 with #WWEBacklash France… LIVE from @LDLC_Arena in Lyon-Decines on May 4.”

• According to PWInsider, WWE celebrity wrestler Bad Bunny doesn’t have a concert on Night 2 of WrestleMania 40, so he’s free to appear on that night if Triple H books him.

Bunny appeared at WrestleMania 39 as well. He joined the commentary team for the Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio match.

Saturday (April 6) – Detroit

Sunday (April 7) – off

Monday (April 8) – off

Tuesday (April 9) – Washington, D.C.

Bad Bunny last appeared in WWE at Backlash 2023, where he defeated Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight.
