• Old School WrestleMania Celebrity Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 101st birthday of Old School WrestleMania Celebrity Liberace (Real name: Wladziu Liberace).

In 1985, Liberace appeared on the first ever WrestleMania as one of many celebrities (including Muhammad Ali & Cindy Lauper) and was used as the special guest time-keeper for the main event of the night, Hulk Hogan & Mr. T versus Roddy Piper & Paul Orndorff.

He’s one of the many former WWF celebrities, who are currently not inducted into the ‘Celebrity Wing’ of the WWE Hall of Fame (yet).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY & † REST IN PEACE

• WWE Apparently Stripped Sami Zayn Of The Intercontinental Title To Send A Message To Other Wrestlers

Sami Zayn hasn’t been working WWE events due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Due to this reason, he was stripped of the Intercontinental Championship.

WrestlingNewsco reported that this action of WWE has been taken as a warning by the locker room. It was apparently done to let the wrestlers know that they’re obliged to work WWE events during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Wrestling Observer also noted that many wrestlers aren’t courageous enough to deny working WWE events, after what happened to Zayn.

This obviously doesn’t apply to Roman Reigns, as he’s a big star and punishing him for his decision would hurt WWE as well.

Triple H decided to hold a tournament in NXT to crown an Interim Cruiserweight Champion, as Jordan Devlin can’t travel right now due to the restrictions in place. Vince McMahon could’ve done the same thing, but he stripped Zayn of the Title instead.
