3. First ever United States Title & WWE World Title match
At WWE SummerSlam 2015, United States champion John Cena will face WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in a “winner takes all” match, where both the United States Title & the WWE World Title are on the line.
The Cena-Rollins rivalry started the night after Battleground, when Rollins was bragging about being able to survive Brock Lesnar and retaining the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The two later faced off in a United States Title Match on Raw, where Cena made Rollins tap out to the STF, despite suffering a broken nose during the match. Rollins said he was distracted by Cena’s broken nose and gave this as a reason for his loss.
Rollins would mock Cena with his new T-Shirt which has the text “Never Shuts up” on the front & “U Can’t See (symbol) Knee”. Rollins then challenged Cena for a “Title vs. Title” match at SummerSlam 2015, which Cena accepted.
This is the first time ever that both the US Title & the WWE World Title will be on line at the same time. Will Cena capture his record 16th World Title? Or will Rollins win his 1st ever US Title? Who will walk out of SummerSlam as the first ever US & WWE World Champion? We will get to know soon.
