Below are some top WWE news stories of the day.

• WWE’s Elimination Chamber 2025 premium live event is set for March 1st at Rogers Centre (fka SkyDome) in Toronto, marking the company’s first event there since WrestleMania 18 in 2002.

This will be the second consecutive year the event takes place in an international stadium. Rogers Centre previously hosted iconic matches such as Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock and Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior.

Ticket sales for the event have already exceeded 23,000, with a setup of 29,670 seats. The show has broken Canada’s all-time WWE gate (revenue from ticket sales) record, previously held by WrestleMania 18 (which had an attendance of 68,237).

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE expects the final attendance to exceed 30,000, far surpassing the threshold for success in a stadium show. Despite not anticipating a complete sellout, the larger venue is considered more advantageous than selling out a smaller arena:

“Elimination Chamber, which is the Toronto show, is the last that I saw the advance WrestleTix came out with a couple of days ago, over 23,000 at Rogers Center.

It has already broken the all-time Canadian gate record, which was set by the Hogan and Rock match at the 2002 WrestleMania. Obviously, with inflation and all, they were going to break that record. Where they’re going to end up is in March, so it’s a little over two months to go.”

• WWE has ended its long-standing partnership with Susan G. Komen for breast cancer awareness and research following the company’s merger with UFC under Endeavor.

For years, WWE heavily promoted this partnership through televised campaigns and special merchandise.

The decision aligns with criticism Komen has faced for “pinkwashing,” where organizations are accused of using minimal donations or the pink ribbon symbol for publicity, with only a small portion of funds going toward research, treatment, and screenings.

Notably, CM Punk criticized Komen in 2015, labeling it a “scam” and urging people to research such organizations before donating.
