• WWE Breaks Yet Another Record With Last Night’s SmackDown
WWE is on fire right now, as they are breaking attendance and gate records left & right with RAW & SmackDown as of late.
Last night’s SmackDown wasn’t any different. Here’s what Sean Ross Sapp reported about it:
“Internal live events reports say last night’s show was the highest grossing SmackDown/RAW event in DC in WWE history.”
According to WrestleTix, the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC was sold out with over 12,000 fans in attendance.
In comparison, this Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2023 PPV (which is going to be All Elite Wrestling’s 1st pay-per-view event of the year) has sold 8,100 tickets.
Last night’s show featured Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes coming face-to-face for the first time on the road to WrestleMania 39, where they’ll battle for the biggest prize in sports entertainment in the main event (tap here for complete results).
