• WWE Calling Up Several NXT Wrestlers Next Month
WWE is gearing up to strengthen the main roster at the start of 2026. According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, several top NXT wrestlers are expected to join the main roster in “the next month or so.” He added that most of the names being discussed are more than deserving of the move and that a call-up has been long overdue for them.
WWE recently brought Lash Legend to SmackDown, while Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia and Roxanne Perez all joined the main roster earlier in the year.
There has been ongoing speculation that Trick Williams, Oba Femi, and Tony D’Angelo are next in line. Earlier this year, it was reported that D’Angelo was essentially finished with NXT and planned to move up before the end of 2025.
Oba Femi is set to challenge Ricky Saints for the NXT Championship at Deadline, a match that could be The Ruler’s final appearance on the brand.
As for Trick Williams, he has accomplished nearly everything possible during his four-year NXT run, so a main roster call-up looks like a matter of time.
• TNA Wants To Bring In A Big Name On First AMC Show Next Month
TNA Wrestling’s flagship show “iMPACT!” will officially move to the AMC Network in January 2026. The premiere episode, airing live on January 15, is expected to be a major event for the company.
According to the Wrestling Observer, TNA wants to have AJ Styles wrestle on their first AMC show.
Earlier this year, WWE and TNA formed a partnership that opened the door for several crossover appearances between NXT and TNA talent. Wrestlers from both sides have shown up on the other’s programming and even captured championships across promotions.
However, the partnership has rarely involved main roster WWE stars, which has been a point of interest for fans who want to see names like AJ Styles step into a TNA ring again.
Styles, who was the face of TNA for more than a decade, explained recently why WWE won’t approve a TNA return. He said that while he personally hoped the crossover could happen, WWE is very unlikely to approve it. In his view, once a top main roster name like him is permitted to appear in TNA, it opens the door for every other main roster talent to want the same opportunity, and WWE doesn’t want to set that precedent.
The Phenomenal One added that he’d love to make a return and that doing so would be a special moment, but realistically, he doesn’t see WWE allowing a match in TNA anytime soon.
• Multiple Top TNA Stars In Talks With WWE
TNA has entered a hectic contract season as the year comes to a close, with a number of key wrestlers set to have their deals expire soon. Among those are The Hardy Boyz, Mustafa Ali, The IIconics, Steve Maclin, AJ Francis, Jake Something, Jody Threat and Mike Santana.
Negotiations with some of these wrestlers have already begun, but not all of them are guaranteed to remain in TNA.
According to the Wrestling Observer, several top TNA stars are in talks with WWE. They had been patiently waiting for the broadcast deal with AMC to be signed as the company has been “slow” in offering new deals.
WWE recently bought out Joe Hendry’s contract from TNA and signed Jordynne Grace earlier this year.
