Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day:

• WWE called up NXT wrestler Odyssey Jones to the main roster during the Draft earlier this year and had him join the RAW brand. However, he hasn’t been used on television at all.

He hasn’t wrestled on television since facing Dijak on the April 4th episode of NXT. His latest match took place at the WWE Superstar Spectacle event in India in September, where he lost to Bron Breakker.

Before the Fastlane 2023 premium live event, Fightful Select reported that WWE had discussions about adding Jones to Bobby Lashley’s faction on SmackDown, which also includes The Street Profits.

In an update, that plan has been dropped:

“Odyssey Jones was pitched for the Bobby Lashley stable. That didn’t happen, and it doesn’t look like it’s gonna.”

• When Cody Rhodes announced Randy Orton’s return on this week’s RAW, Jey Uso looked worried, as The Bloodline took out Orton 1.5 years ago in May 2022.

Now, Jey is missing his days in The Bloodline. Below is what he posted on his Instagram story:

WWE has released new merchandise for Orton and the new T-Shirt design reads “Strike First”:

This began speculation that Orton might turn heel soon, just like Drew McIntyre did, by going after Jey Uso for what he did to him 18 months ago.

McIntyre saw Jey’s Instagram story and tweeted:

“You couldn’t make it up 😂😂😂 And some people have the nerve to challenge my attitude towards him…”
