Below are a couple of important WWE news stories:
– TMZ is reporting that Vince McMahon underwent a major spinal surgery last week.
The surgery lasted about 5 hours and was a pretty intensive one. The Executive Chairman of WWE is now recovering.
– On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio defended the NXT North American Championship against Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Sami Zayn.
At the end of the match, Mr. Money In The Bank Damian Priest and Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley assaulted Kevin Owens and laid him out on the stage.
Owens was then checked by the doctors backstage.
As previously noted, Owens is legitimately injured and WWE is using it as an angle on TV. He has a fractured rib and it’s unknown how long he’ll be out of action for.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Owens will miss SummerSlam this year due to the injury and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship will not be defended at The Biggest Party Of The Summer.
Unfortunately, this will be the second WWE pay-per-view in a row to not feature the Tag Team Titles.
