WWE Hall of Famer Edge wrestled the last match under his current WWE contract against Sheamus on his 25th year anniversary in WWE last month on SmackDown.
The Rated-R Superstar’s WWE contract will expire at the end of this month and it’s unknown what the future holds for him.
What’s known is that he won’t wrestle in Toronto again as he said that his match against Sheamus over there was his last match in his hometown.
There have been multiple reports about Edge finishing up with WWE and possibly going to AEW since last month.
In an update on his status, PWInsider is reporting that Edge has now been removed from the “Miscellaneous Talent” list on WWE’s internal roster, which he was recently added to. His WWE contract will expire this Saturday, which means he’ll be free to debut in AEW at this Sunday’s WrestleDream PPV if that’s what he wants to do.
Some fans believe that All Elite Wrestling has already planted seeds for Edge’s debut on Dynamite.
At the end of last night’s show, Jay White (who challenged MJF for the AEW World Championship earlier in the night) was attacked backstage by 5 Masked Men and one of them was wearing a Devil Mask.
Fans on Social Media are saying they believe the Devil Mask guy is actually Edge, even though the guy looked short and skinny, but the theory was that this Devil Mask guy could eventually be revealed as Edge and the one behind the mask right now is just a placeholder.

With Adam Cole out of action with an injury, MJF plans to defend the ROH Tag Team Titles by himself in a Handicap Match against The Righteous this Sunday. Could Edge debut to help MJF even the odds?
