• WWE Could Be Bringing Back Absent Star This Saturday

According to WrestleVotes, Omos could be returning this Saturday at AAA Triplemanía XXXIII:

“In a follow-up from news a few weeks ago, we can report that Omos’ name has once again surfaced in AAA discussions, with one source suggesting he could very well appear this weekend at TripleMania.”

Earlier this year, Omos had a short run in Japan in Pro Wrestling NOAH, where he won the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Titles alongside Jack Morris. Omos last competed in WWE in last year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown on April 5, 2024. Prior to Royal Rumble 2025, Omos relinquished the GHC Tag Team Title and gave it to Daga under the Freebird Rule, and announced that he’s returning to WWE. However, Omos didn’t return to WWE TV. A couple of months ago, Omos revealed that he has signed a new multi-year contract with WWE.

Below is the match-card for AAA Triplemanía XXXIII (featuring 10 WWE wrestlers in action):

• Naomi’s Medical Situation Sparks Unexpected Heel Turn

On this week’s RAW, Michael Cole announced that Naomi is not medically cleared to compete and her Women’s World Championship defense against IYO SKY will not take place. Due to this, WWE booked IYO SKY vs. Roxanne Perez. Before the match, Asuka and Kairi Sane offered to be in IYO’s corner, but IYO said no thanks.

Despite this, Asuka and Kairi came out to help IYO during the match, but Roxanne pushed IYO into Asuka and Kairi, knocking them off the ring apron. Roxanne then pinned IYO by pulling IYO’s tights. IYO wasn’t happy with Asuka and Kairi, and confronted them backstage, which led to Asuka pushing IYO.

According to PWInsider, Asuka is a heel after this segment. The original plan for Asuka’s heel turn on IYO was scheduled to be a “slow burn” storyline building over the next few weeks, but WWE decided to change plans and pull the trigger due to the Naomi situation.
