• WWE Could Go Private By The End Of The Month, Says Hall Of Famer

On a recent episode of his weekly ’83 Weeks’ podcast, former WCW President Eric Bischoff speculated, that Vince McMahon could turn WWE into a private company again by the end of the month.

Here’s what the 2021 WWE Hall of Famer had to say:

“I would not be surprised if it happens before the end of the month. I’m not saying I know it, but would it surprise me? Absolutely not. Is it possible? Yes. If he’s going to take the company private, it’s possible.

My gut told me a week ago ‘I think he’s gonna take it private’. I can see him teaming up with an Endeavor as a minority private investor.”

The World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) became a publicly traded company / joint stock corporation during the Attitude Era, but a lot of critics and fans have expressed their dislike over several decisions they had to make as a publicly run wrestling promotion over the years.

While – in theory – it would be possible to turn WWE back into a private company again, this would be a very difficult and highly expensive process with a lot of possible corporate drawbacks.

• Old School WCW Diva Celebrates Her Birthday

Old School WCW Diva Gorgeous George (Real name: Stephanie Bellars) celebrates her 47th birthday today.

In 1999 she appeared as the valet of her real life boyfriend at that time, “The Macho Man” Randy Savage, and therefore has been a member of his ‘Team Madness’ faction with Savage, Sid Vicious, Miss Madness (Molly Holly) & Madusa.

When they broke up in the fall of 1999, she left the promotion and continued to appear on the independent scene (following brief runs in ECW & TNA), where she was known as George Frankenstein, because Savage held the contractual trademark rights of the “Gorgeous George” name.
