At the JP Morgan Global Technology, Media & Communications Conference, WWE CEO Nick Khan discussed various WWE topics.
Below are the highlights:
– There are discussions going on regarding the 3rd hour of RAW (which starts at 10 PM ET) featuring more adult content.
– WWE is open to moving SmackDown off Friday nights and adding a 3rd hour to it.
– An additional show could becoming soon, which would be adult-oriented, to satisfy the needs of that particular audience group.
– WWE Network has 150,000 subscribers at £10 per month in the UK.
– The goal is to have every premium live event get a site subsidy fee, similar to Clash At The Castle 2022 in Cardiff, Wales and Backlash 2023 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
– WWE has seen a spike in viewership for older events in the lead-up to the new events on both Peacock & YouTube (example: WrestleMania).
– There could be more crossover from RAW & SmackDown on NXT, to make it stand out as more than just a developmental brand.
– Amazon is attempting to program specific nights of the week for their Prime streaming service, and WWE shows could end up on that platform.
