6. Shane McMahon Being Written Off WWE Programming Soon?
Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer is reporting that Shane McMahon will be making very less appearanes on WWE programming after the Draft. Dave notes that Shane has been telling his friends he doesn’t know for how long he’ll stay on TV.
This might be the possible reason behind Vince naming Shane & Stephanie as Commissioners, so they won’t have to make regular appearances. General Managers will be on weekly shows instead of them.
So it looks like Daniel Bryan’s presence on SmackDown as the General Manager would help WWE in written Shane O’Mac off WWE Programming for a while.
5. WWE Recreating “WWF vs. WCW” With Raw vs. SmackDown?
WWE highlighted on Raw that the Brand Extension will lead to a war between Raw & SmackDown, just like WWF & WCW had back in the day with the TV ratings. It will be interesting to see which Brand ends up drawing more TV ratings.
Speaking of the Brand Extension, Roman Reigns’ suspension is expected to make some changes in the WWE Draft plans as he was scheduled to be the #1 Draft pick before his suspension.
With the arrival of the Brand Extension, new & interesting rivalries will be set up and new faces will get to show the audience what they’ve got.
