• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (August 30, 2008) – Old School WWWF Legend Passed Away

On this day in 2008, we lost Old School WWWF Legend Killer Kowalski (Real name: Walter Kowalski) at the age of 81 due to a heart attack .

Killer Kowalski wrestled from 1948 till his retirement from active in-ring competition in 1977.

In his pro-wrestling school, he trained several wrestlers, who eventually became famous stars on their own, such as “The Game” Triple H, Big John Studd, Chyna & Perry Saturn.

In 1996, Kowalski was inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame (now known as WWE Hall of Fame) by his former student Hunter Hearst Helmsley (now known as Triple H).

• WWE Doing Another Storyline Similar To Chris Jericho – Kevin Owens

WWE formed a partnership between Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn a few weeks back and they began a feud with The Miz.

Nakamura & Zayn attacked Miz two weeks in a row on SmackDown and this is expected to lead to Nakamura defending the Intercontinental Title against The Miz at Clash of Champions 2019.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE officials are planning to book this storyline between Nakamura & Zayn similar to that of Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens from 2016-2017, which will eventually led to a big blowoff match between Nakamura & Zayn:

“One of the ideas I’ve heard when the Zayn / Nakamura storyline was decided upon was to eventually resemble that of the Jericho / Owens friendship from a few years ago, leading to a big time blowoff match. However, I’d be surprised if this story lasted all the way through to WrestleMania.”
