• Old School WCW Valet Would Have Celebrated Her Birthday

Today would have been the 55th birthday of Old School WCW Valet Woman (Real name: Nancy Benoit).

During the 80s, Nancy became the valet of Kevin Sullivan’s stable and together they toured the territories and ended up getting married in 1985.

Woman then worked for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling from 1989 to 1990, for NWA Eastern Championship Wrestling (which became Extreme Championship Wrestling in mid-’94) from 1993 until 1996 and then again for WCW from 1996 till 1997.

After leaving professional wrestling in 1997, she was never heard of again up until the tragic incident in June 2007 involving Chris Benoit.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY & † REST IN PEACE!

• WWE Facing Problem With RAW Script, Testing New Things With 3rd Hour Of RAW

According to WrestleVotes, the script for this week’s RAW wasn’t finished when the show began at 8 PM EST.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful noted that WWE is trying new things with the 3rd hour of RAW:

“So you may have noticed some changes in hour 3 [of RAW]. The lights were darkened. The graphics were changed to highlight black instead of red. That’s because WWE is looking to go in a grittier I was told more ‘raw’ approach for hour 3 of the show that’s because of the viewership being so low.

One person backstage said this is another indication of Vince throwing everything at the wall and trying to see what sticks and I mean we’re talking wild cards and floating stuff and new titles and all kinds of different stuff.”
