Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Randy Orton and Seth Rollins.
• On SmackDown after Crown Jewel, an angry Randy Orton stormed to the ring and called out Kevin Owens for a fight.
Owens came out and a brawl broke out between the two men. WWE Officials, referees & security arrived to separate the two men, but they still couldn’t stop Owens from hitting a Piledriver (which Michael Cole repeatedly mentioned is banned in WWE) on Orton.
Orton didn’t get up and was put on a stretcher and taken to a hospital.
WWE has issued the following injury update on the 14-time World Champion:
“Randy Orton has been diagnosed with a cervical cord neurapraxia. There is no timetable for his return.”

• Marvel fans are abuzz after the latest Captain America: Brave New World trailer dropped at D23 Brazil on November 9.
The upcoming film, in which Sam Wilson (played by Anthony Mackie) takes on the mantle of Captain America, promises intense action as he faces a global crisis following a confrontation with President Thaddeus Ross (portrayed by Harrison Ford). Set to premiere on February 14, 2025, the movie has sparked excitement—not just for its plot, but also for a rumored cameo from a popular WWE Superstar.
Speculation surrounds Seth Rollins, who is listed on IMDb as part of the film’s cast, hinting at a possible Marvel debut. Fans thought they spotted Rollins around the 1:44 mark in the trailer, appearing masked and ready for action.
Rollins, however, addressed the speculation head-on, posting on social media, “Not me, kid. Sorry,” which dampened fans’ hopes.
