• WWE Gives Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode’s Team A Name

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode have been a Tag Team since 2019, and it only took WWE until January 2021 to give the pairing a name.

On the New Year’s episode of SmackDown, Ziggler and Roode started calling themselves “The Dirty Dawgs”.

In last week’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the team of Ziggler and Roode will officially be known as “The Dirty Dawgs” now.

“Roode & Ziggler’s tag team is going to be called the Dirty Dawgs and they came out this week with T-shirts with that name on it.”

The Dirty Dawgs defeated The Street Profits to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship on last week’s SmackDown.
