Charlotte Flair and IYO SKY wrestled for the WWE Women’s Championship in a highly competitive match on Friday Night SmackDown, showcasing their current status as two of the top female pro wrestlers in the industry.
Charlotte is widely considered one of the greatest female professional wrestlers of all time and some would even argue she’s THE best on the list.
Even her father, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair took to Twitter and posted that Charlotte and IYO made the men’s division in WWE look lame with their match on SmackDown.
Here’s what The Nature Boy tweeted:
“Congratulations To The @WWE Women’s Division! You Just Made The Boys Look So Lame Because You All Are Just SO GOOD! WOOOOO! @MsCharlotteWWE @Iyo_SkyWWE.”

SKY defeated Flair to retain the WWE Women’s Championship with help from Damage CTRL. After the match, Damage CTRL attacked Charlotte, which led to Bianca Belair making her return after a 2 month absence and saving Flair.
Ric Flair’s daughter Charlotte Flair signed with WWE in 2012 and wrestled for their developmental brand NXT until she moved to the main roster in 2015.
Charlotte is now 36 years old and has already won a total of 14 (Women’s) World Championships, including 6 reigns as RAW Women’s Champion, 7 reigns as SmackDown Women’s Champion and 1 reign as Divas Champion; not counting however her 2 reigns as the NXT Women’s Champion, as that’s not considered a ‘World Title’.
