• SmackDown Star Says Hulk Hogan Is His Dream Opponent, Reveals What Him & Hogan Talked About Recently

During a recent interview with Gorilla Position, SmackDown Live star Rusev talked about how he wants to be a funny character and be a monster in the ring, his dream opponent & more.

Below are the highlights:

On wanting to be a funny character:

“Every time people are like, ‘oh you should be more serious like this and you’re a monster’… When you look at Kurt Angle, he always did the funny stuff. [Angle] steps in the ring and he’ll kick your ass twice and that’s why I was like, ‘that can be me, I can do fun stuff because that’s what I wanna do.’

At the same time in the ring, I can beat you so hard that you’ll never want to show up again. So that’s what I wanna do and that’s what I’ve been doing and I guess it’s worth it.”

On who’s his dream opponent:

“Hogan. He’s back in the Hall Of Fame. Yeah, Hogan, man he’s the guy I started watching wrestling because of him and I came to America because of him so I could be a professional wrestler so definitely Hogan.

I talked to him a couple weeks ago about some different stories about matches with Warrior and WrestleMania with The Rock in Toronto and yeah. He knows so much and he has so much experience with so many stories to tell.”

• WWE Hall Of Famer Says He Wouldn’t Turn Down A Match With The Undertaker ‘If The Cards Fell Right’

During a recent interview on Inside The Ropes, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg was asked about a possible match with The Undertaker, his face-off with The Undertaker during the Royal Rumble 2017 match & more.

Below are the highlights:

On if he would like to face The Undertaker:

“Don’t put words in my mouth. I would like to have it if it came available and it was right and people wanted it I’m still capable of doing it.

Because once I sit here and say it’s a match I’d like to have that means I’m asking for it – I’m not asking for anything – I’m just saying if the cards fell right I wouldn’t say no.”

I’ve been friends with Taker – Mark Calloway for 100 years. I knew Mark back when he was bouncing in Atlanta while I was playing football with The Falcons – at Georgia, excuse me – not The Falcons.

He and I have been friends, acquaintances for a long time. I’ve always looked up to him man, he’s Taker. What he’s meant to the wrestling business in WWF, WWE, to all the kids and fans – he’s a legend. Anytime you’re around the guy or you’re lucky enough to be in the ring with the guy it’s cool as hell.”

On his face-off with The Undertaker during the Royal Rumble 2017 match:

“We teased you with something. The problem with that is that sometimes we’re not able to deliver and ultimately give people what they want. I’m not at WWE anymore, we never had an opportunity – other than that staredown – to look at each other in the ring in that setting.

So it’s probably never gonna happen and I’m not saying that because, you know I’m setting you guys up to knock one out of the park. I’m not sitting here going, ‘Man I can’t wait until Vince calls me so I can get Taker’s a**.’

It was bittersweet that night because I knew that there wasn’t a payoff for that”
