• Old School Wrestling Legend Celebrates His Birthday
Old School Wrestling Legend The Great Muta (Real name: Keiji Mutoh) celebrates his 56th birthday today.
The NJPW Wrestler came to Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in 1989 and joined Gary Hart’s J-Tex Corporation faction, that feuded with Ric Flair and Sting.
Muta wrestled as a part-timer for WCW until September 2000, but only in between his NJPW dates in Japan.
He has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, which to be fair is only a question of “when”, not “if”.

• WWE Hall Of Famer Says He’s Not Retired
During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter talked about WWE going to Saudi Arabia for the WWE Crown Jewel PPV despite controversy, if he’s retired & more.
Below are the highlights:
On if WWE (then WWF) would have handled the Saudi Arabia/Crown Jewel PPV situation the same way back in the day:
“Same way. We’re an entertainment company. We’re not anything to do with politics. We’re basically there to entertain everybody. Not just the American people, but people all around the world. That’s what we do for a living. That’s what makes our company so great.”
On where WWE should go next to break down barriers:
“I’d say Mars. Mars – That’s probably our next destination. We’ll have WrestleMania 50 on Mars. I’m gonna be there, but I don’t know if I’ll be wrestling.”
On if he considers himself retired:
“No, I do not. Every once and awhile I get into the ring and if somebody says something bad about the Sarge or America or wants to pick a fight with the Sarge, I’ve always got my bag with me. Whether it be a singles match – I’d prefer a tag match – I’ve always got the boots with me. The Cobra Clutch is always ready and Slaughter Cannon is always loaded.”
On how often people ask him to put them in the Cobra Clutch:
“Every day. It happened three times on the way here. One of them was the driver and I said, ‘Let’s wait ’til we get to the event and then I’ll put you in the Cobra Clutch, so you can sleep a few hours’.”
