Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving Ken Shamrock and Kazuchika Okada.
• Kazuchika Okada, former multi-time World Champion in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), may be leaving the promotion for either WWE or AEW in early 2024 when his contract expires.
WWE is reportedly interested in Okada, considering his close relationship with Shinsuke Nakamura, who previously moved from NJPW to WWE.
Okada’s contract expires at the end of January, and despite the usual contract renewal talks, he is seriously considering wrestling for a different promotion.
The Wrestling Observer acknowledged WWE’s long-standing interest in Okada and noted that there might be a better chance of signing him now than before.
This is one of the reasons why Triple H is pushing Shinsuke Nakamura as a top heel on the RAW brand, to show that he’s going to use Japanese wrestlers better than Vince McMahon did.
• It looks like Attitude Era Superstar & UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock has signed a WWE Legends contract, as WWE has released new merch for ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Man’.
