Below are some top WWE news stories of the day:

– According to PWInsider, last night’s WWE SmackDown at Madison Square Garden drew the biggest live gate (revenue from ticket sales) for an event in the history of this famous arena.

There was a big sense of pride backstage among WWE Executives after reaching this milestone.

The show was sold out with 13,528 fans in attendance. The show featured some big storylines, including the “Trial of the Tribal Chief”, which featured the aftermath of Roman Reigns getting pinned after 3.5 years, and the return of Edge later in the show, who also wrestled a match.

– On July 1st, a new law was passed in Florida, where citizens are allowed to carry concealed weapons without a permit.

With that being said, WWE has a new rule for their shows in Florida.

Below is what the Wrestling Observer reported about it:

“WWE has enacted a written rule for all events in the state including at the Performance Center that all firearms and concealed weapons are not permitted.

If anyone comes to the Performance Center or an arena where WWE is running with a firearm or gun they will be instructed to take their weapon back to their car.

They won’t allow you to check-in and leave a weapon at the arena to be picked up after the show.”
