• WWE Has Already Sold 100,000 Tickets For WrestleMania 39

Tickets for WrestleMania 39 went on sale last week and WWE set a new record.

WrestleMania 39 (aka WrestleMania Hollywood) recorded the highest 1st day ticket sales in the history of WrestleMania.

In total, WWE has sold almost 100,000 tickets already for both Night 1 & 2.

WrestleTix provided the following update:

No matches have been announced for WrestleMania 39, but The Rock vs. Roman Reigns is rumored for this event.

• Old School Wrestling Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 76th birthday of Old School Wrestling Veteran Dick Murdoch (Real name: Hoyt Murdoch).

During his long illustrious career, Dick Murdoch wrestled for several different territories such as the World Wrestling Federation, Jim Crockett Promotions, World Championship Wrestling, Florida Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Council & Mid-South Wrestling.

His last major appearances came in 1995, when he was an entrant into the 30 man Royal Rumble match at the ‘WWF Royal Rumble 1995’ PPV, and lost a Legends match to “Chief” Wahoo McDaniels at the ‘WCW Slamboree 1995’ PPV.
