14-Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton is currently out of action with a back injury.

He hasn’t wrestled since May 2022 and was written off WWE programming after a vicious storyline assault led by Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns along with The Bloodline.

The Viper underwent a lower back fusion surgery, which resulted in the original plan for the SummerSlam 2022 main event being canceled – Roman Reigns (c) vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

As we reported before, Orton has been training at the WWE Performance Center for a while now.

Rev Theory recently released a new, updated version of Orton’s WWE theme song, Voices. You can check it out below:

Rev Theory has been teasing for a while that Orton will return with this new version as his entrance theme, and Rev’s Twitter account dropped a tease for Orton’s return coming soon:

“The time is near.”

In an update, WrestleVotes is reporting that WWE has big plans for Orton’s return:

“Regarding the Randy Orton return rumors, source states new merchandise & branding has been approved. Also, WWE will present a large social media promotion / digital material for the comeback. It’s indeed happening. Likely Survivor Series or that weekend.”

Survivor Series 2023 will take place on November 25th at the Allstate Arena in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois, and it is sold out already.
