• WWE Has Big Plans For Survivor Series 2026

Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 was a major success for WWE, with the company selling over 46,000 tickets at Petco Park in San Diego, California, making it the biggest gate and attendance in Survivor Series history.

The show featured several headline-making moments, including John Cena losing the Intercontinental Championship to “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio with help from a returning Liv Morgan, in what was The GOAT’s final PLE match.

Team Rhea Ripley defeated Team Asuka in the Women’s WarGames match, while Stephanie Vaquer retained the Women’s World Championship against WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella.

The main event saw Team Vision defeating Team CM Punk after a mystery attacker interrupted the match.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, WWE is currently discussing the idea of holding next year’s Survivor Series in a stadium once again.

The location for the event is not yet known, but it seems like Survivor Series will continue running in stadiums moving forward, joining WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble as another major PLE consistently held at large venues.

• Triple H Compares Top WWE Star To The Undertaker After Survivor Series

During the Survivor Series post show, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H talked about Roman Reigns being a larger than life superstar, and compared him to The Undertaker:

“He’s almost transcended to a point in the business where he’s bigger than the championship. He’s bigger than being a world champion. He is just a legend unto himself.

I used to think that about Taker all the time. He just transcended the business in a way that you didn’t even need to talk about him in the title picture because he was epically in that circle. That is where Roman Reigns is right now. There is an aura about him and just something different.”

After the Men’s WarGames match, Roman showed respect to World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, but wasn’t cool with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Speculation began that WWE could do Reigns vs. Rhodes III at WrestleMania 42.

Here’s what Triple H said about that:

“When you have a star the size of Roman Reigns, he transcends the world title, he transcends the Royal Rumble, he transcends the Elimination Chamber. Does he really need to qualify or does he just call his shot? That’s a decision that we here in the WWE need to make very shortly.

I have a feeling that one of those two guys, CM Punk or Cody Rhodes, is on a collision course with Roman Reigns. It’s going to be interesting to see where that goes.”
