• WWE Has Bigger Plans For SummerSlam Celebrity
Jelly Roll is stepping into the WWE spotlight once again, and this time, it might be more than just a cameo. The chart-topping artist is confirmed for the July 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Tampa, Florida. But according to WrestleVotes, this appearance might be part of something larger. The outlet reports that WWE insiders expect it “to be the start of something more.” There’s also “anticipation the music superstar will make additional appearances in the near future.”
One clue fueling the speculation? His tour schedule. While Jelly Roll is currently on the road, the report pointed out that he has the first weekend of August off, the same weekend WWE’s SummerSlam is set to take place. That coincidence has fans wondering if the singer could be part of a big moment at WWE’s biggest event of the summer.
This wouldn’t be uncharted territory for him. At SummerSlam 2024, Jelly Roll got physical in the ring, delivering a chokeslam to Austin Theory. A longtime wrestling fan, he’s talked openly in interviews about wanting to do more inside the ring, especially after focusing on weight loss to make that dream a reality.
• Update: Is Tamina Snuka Still With WWE?
It’s been a long time since fans last saw Tamina Snuka in a WWE ring. Despite her absence from television, she remains under contract with the company, according to Fightful Select. Internally, however, her status appears unclear. Tamina is reportedly not listed on any of WWE’s brand rosters and hasn’t been seen backstage at recent shows. Her last match was in February 2023, and since then, there’s been no sign of a return, no retirement announcement, and no official release.
Tamina is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka and previously held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles during her career. WWE has yet to make any public statement regarding her current role or future with the company.
• New Developments In Lawsuit Against AEW & Jon Moxley
AEW has taken steps to shift a lawsuit filed against the company and wrestler Jon Moxley to federal court. The filing was made on July 3, according to Brandon Thurston. The lawsuit was originally brought by Christopher Dispensa, a former crew member. He claims that in 2023, Moxley pushed him to the ground, causing serious injuries. Dispensa says he needed cervical fusion surgery after suffering damage to his neck and shoulder.
AEW cited diversity of citizenship and a lien of more than $215,000 as reasons for the move to federal court. Dispensa is asking for over $25,000 in damages. Christopher Dispensa was never a full-time AEW employee and hasn’t worked with the company since late 2024.
• Saraya’s Wild Confession: $ex in a Public Place You’d Never Expect!
During an AMA (Ask Me Anything) episode of her Rule Breakers podcast, Saraya aka Paige was asked about the craziest date she’s ever been on. The former WWE Divas Champion revealed that she had $ex in an abandoned zoo earlier this year: “Well, that’s the thing. I’ve been shackled up in relationships for the past 10 plus years. So, I haven’t really gone on any dates. I mean, I went on with like one guy who I’m still kind of going on these dates with, but I haven’t got any crazy stories, I don’t think. I like to just go on walks and stuff like that. Just something different than like the usual date.
I mean I did go on a date and we had $ex in a public place… the LA abandoned zoo. Yeah. Not the real zoo. No, no, no. The abandoned zoo. And that was this year.”
• “I have a strangely shaped small pen!$” – Top WWE Star
WWE Champion John Cena and his Heads of State movie co-star Idris Elba appeared on GOAT Talk by Complex. When the question of “GOAT Rap line you wrote” came, Cena said the following: “I love a good d*ck joke and I am projecting that I’m more than I am. So I once said, ‘they call my d*ck Frank White ’cause it’s notoriously big.’ And I always thought that was clever because I have a strangely shaped small pen!$. It’s odd shaped. It looks like Mount Rushmore.”

• Another Legend Expected To Return At AEW All In
It looks like Jim Ross won’t be the only legend to return at AEW All In: Texas on July 12. Sting might make an appearance at AEW All In: Texas, according to new backstage reports. Fightful Select indicates that discussions have been ongoing for months about involving “The Icon” in the event, with the possibility hinging on whether Darby Allin is booked and what storyline he’s part of.
This wouldn’t be a shock to many fans. Sting resides in Texas and even made a surprise appearance at the All In ticket launch event in December. He’s publicly said he expects to be at the show and is already confirmed for a meet-and-greet and photo session at Starrcast the same weekend.
Interestingly, this year marks Sting’s final run of fan signings in full face paint, adding extra significance to any appearances he makes during All In festivities. While nothing’s officially confirmed, the odds look good that Sting could have one more special moment under the AEW spotlight.
• RAW Star Says His Retirement Is Really Close
During an interview with LA PLATICA, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio said his in-ring retirement is near. Here’s what the current RAW Superstar said: “Oh, it’s definitely really close. It’s really close, but at the same time, I’m so motivated. A lot of people ask me, ‘What keeps you going?’ I think that once my son started to wrestle, that kind of pushed me to continue, because I was really getting very close to calling it quits, but that just kind of gave me that second wind, and it pushed me to keep going. To be honest, I know I’m going to still enjoy it when I retire, but I’m going to have to tap out. I still love what I do and I always have.
The fact that I was inducted into the Hall of Fame before I even tapped out, I was like, I don’t want to, I’m not ready to retire. [WWE said] ‘Like no, we’re presenting this to you.’ So truly honored to have been considered, you know, one of the Hall of Famers.”
Mysterio got injured on SmackDown before WrestleMania 41. He noted during this interview that he plans to return to the ring in August.
