Below are some top WWE news stories of the day.

• Drew McIntyre has been absent since his loss to CM Punk at Bad Blood on October 5th. While CM Punk recently returned to SmackDown, McIntyre’s comeback is still under discussion.

PWInsider reports that creative talks are underway regarding his return, but no plans have been finalized yet.

McIntyre sustained a significant laceration in the Hell in a Cell match, requiring 16 staples to close the wound.

Along with recuperating physically, McIntyre is overseas spending time with family. He recently shared that he has been coping with “personal losses,” which also influenced his decision to take a break.

• The OG Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos & Sami Zayn) will team up with CM Punk to take on the new Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa) and Bronson Reed in a WarGames Match in the main event of this Saturday’s Survivor Series 2024 premium live event.

In a recent Q&A on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp was asked if Punk joining forces with the original Bloodline was always the plan, and if Roman and Punk are getting along.

Sapp confirmed that Punk joining the OG Bloodline’s team for WarGames was always the plan. He also noted that since Punk’s return at Survivor Series last year, there have been no reports of negative interactions involving him.

Punk has reportedly been a model professional and very helpful backstage.
