Below are some top WWE news stories of the day.

• According to Billi Bhatti of The Dirty Sheets, WWE promised Netflix that they will have The Rock and Roman Reigns as a regular part of RAW when the show moves to Netflix in 2025.

However, WWE is already breaking that promise as Roman and Rock are scheduled to be a part of SmackDown on the USA Network for their respective WrestleMania 41 programs.

As Rock and Roman’s replacement, John Cena is going to have a full-time run on RAW in 2025, where he’s currently scheduled to work 35 dates in his retirement tour:

“John Cena is going to be on Netflix full-time. He’s going to be on RAW and is there to soften the blow regarding the promises not being kept initially about The Rock and Roman Reigns appearing on Netflix as part of the RAW brand. They are set to appear on the USA Network on SmackDown instead.

We’ll see how they get around that. Maybe Netflix will accept John Cena as a solid replacement for the entire year of 2025, during which he is scheduled to make 35 appearances for WWE.”

• Roman Reigns, who recently shifted from heel to babyface, shared his thoughts on the transition. After a dominant run as WWE’s top heel from 2020 to 2024, Reigns returned as a babyface at SummerSlam following his loss at WrestleMania 40.

Addressing the change at Bloomberg Power Players, Reigns stated, “Well, the business is at its most successful with me as a heel, but the future looks bright (with me as a babyface). So we’ll see, we’ll see.”

He added, “It’s much easier — I think babyface is an easier side to actually perform in. But it’s so much more fun as a bad guy.”
